KGB Burger - Killer Gourmet Burgers- @MidValley

Okay, I was so happy, so grateful that Ivan saw my tweet and called me. I owe you. I was strolling around and found out this KGB burger (Killer Gourmet Burger) and I immediately knew it I AM GONNA EAT THAT BURGER.

Seats were little but we managed to find one at 3pm. I passed by during 1 pm and woah, sea of people. I tried peeking at people's food HAHAHAHAHA. Very Chinese-style, of course I'm a Chinese.

So I met up with Ivan and Julian after their movie. Food journey starts here.

Limited seats so better be here before peak hours to have a good seat.

Woots my order: KGB Spiked
It's crust seared beef, sharp cheddar, crispy beef bacon and KGB spicy sauce.

See that juicy tangy beef? It's gorgeous. First bite was heaven, you get the crispy bits of beef bacon and Autralian beef all together in one big bite, with the spicy KGB sauce and cheddar balancing the meaty taste. Suprisingly the beef is not too thin, very generous size and there's bits of beef bacon in every bite, totally worth a try.

What turns me off is the bun. It's not very filling and Burgerlab's black charcoal bun wins it. But if you have a small appetite it will be just right, maybe I just wanted a more satisfying bun hahaha. I would suggest guys to order a side dish of fries which is quite pricey at Rm 7.90. I didn't try it though but there a few types of seasonings, they got Salt&Pepper, Herbed, Spicy Cajun and Malt vinegar(ohmygod can't imagine the tatse, imagine malt with vinegar?!)

Still, I loved the filling. Really nice beef patty. There are two types of patty, I ordered the crust seared patty instead of the grilled patty.

That bite of yummy- goodness. Worth a try, no regrets forking out bucks for it.

The Shack.
Grilled chicken here, beef patty available too.

It's Julian's order and it's kinda simple and casual I call it. It's grilled chicken, sharp cheddar and shack sauce, pretty easy kind of burger. I didn't try it but chicken lovers can give it a go, especially chickien- eating girls. Okay that sounds weird hahaha. It's not messy s don't worry getting sauce all over your hands and mouth. Not a fan of grilled chicken, I'm always a beef lover.

Viola, The Bash.

Third burger, it's Ivan's order, and the priciest burger among us three. It has the richest ingredients ever, Grilled beef, bacon jam relish (wow), provolone cheese( sounds expensive and yummy) , caramelized onions and maple cornflakes (yeah real cereal cornflakes to add crisp to the burger).
I didn't try it though but he said it was good.

It's that kind of big messy burger though it doesn't seem like it here. As for that white gooey thing, it's caramelized onions. Looks good, gonna try it on my next visit. The Bash is more like for huge beef eaters. Name it, it's beef, yummiest meat on earth. What kills is when you found the perfect beef patty.

This is Ivan, my sb. Known him for three years ( I think so) and he always nice to chat with. Gonna graduate soon and grateful that I get to meet up with him. Thanks buddy for the Chamomile tea.
Oh and sorry girls, he's taken. Not single anymore hahahaha.

I look weird, lost my double eye lids to puffed eyes. Nooooooo. Not a good face day.

Location:

MidValley/The Gardens Lower ground. Next to Ninja Joe and along Simple Life.
Another outlet is at Jalan Telawi Dya, Bangsar Baru, KL.

Price:
The Shack                     RM12.90
KGB Spiked                 RM15.90
The Bash                      RM 18.90

P.S: If you've been here before and have a favorite burger to share, comment below to share the goodness of food! Thanks for reading and have a trip to KGB burgers if you eat burgers hahaha.

Three little pigs and big bad wolf

It's Friday! Thank God for Friday. Yes I mean it, thank God!

Met up with Xun Ling (pig head) and Ralph (our ex- colleague turned buddy) at Bangsar Village today. Well, we weren't supposed to be here but due to some mistakes I made, I thought Pulp cafe is near here but instead, it's like 1 km away. HAHAHA sorry guys. Qing was busy so she can't join awww.

We ended up in Three little pigs and big bad wolf , okay wonder if I got the name right. This place is famous among youngsters and is trending. So I got pretty excited weeeeeee, can't wait to eat! Okay I admit I spent a lot on food.

In love with the sleek and trendy interior designs.

Me taken by an unprofessional photographer (jokes)

pig head

She ordered a drink called Cranberry something something and it turned out to be really good muesli drink. No idea how they made it but the drink is really yoghurty and thick with a lot of museli in it. Totally worth the price.

'daibie'

Tried egg benedicts for the first time! Honestly I was pretty upset when they serve it because it doesn't look like it's worth the price. I changed my mind instantly as I took a bite. The sauce was too good to be true. It tasted of cheese, egg yolks and probably herbs, but there is more in the sauce, all the yummy- goodness stuff. Bacon was grilled perfectly, not too oily for me. I am very sensitive to oily meat. Toast wasn't soggy, unlike some places which they serve soggy toasts.

Service here is very good. I've been to restaurants with bad services like Dubu-dubu, urgh, service was really really slow at the Sunway branch. Right here, they serve you pepper by grinding it themselves, one waitress was really friendly and she has this smiley face which makes customers feel like 'I. love. this. place'.

Most importantly, their water are clean to drink. I made a visit to Plan B Mid Valley and the water tasted like urghhh so gross. It's like they never filtered the water or used overnight boiled water. Even the toast was too oily for me, with too much melted cheese. The menu price of these two restaurants are mostly the same, so I would totally prefered Three Little Pigs and big Bad Wolf.

In the taxi

Nani?

First time in the back of the train and woah, the view is really breathtaking. This is Kl Sentral by the way, and I failed to deliver the breathtaking photo. Nooooo......

See ya next time Ruff haha. Pig head was really exhausted so she slept while I tried to ignore a couple giggling and poking each other. So awkward cus' they are beside me.

Finally found this at Borders Bangsar Village today! Like finally! The one and only Borders. happy kid but I willl be happier if I can find Tuesdays with Morrie. Mitch Alborn writes good books, it's something I wanna read when I got bored of romance novels.

The first chapter was titled 'The End'. So cool.

THIS. IS. NOT. AN. ORDINARY. PHOTO.
IT'S NICHOLAS TEO!!! THE SONRIA PASTA GUY. AHHHHHHH.

He walks really fast......

He passed by me and pig head and wow he has beautiful eyes.
Can I sell it to the paparazzi and get money? Jokes.
So close to my ex- idol.
I loved him when I was 12 hahaha.

*he's the guy in a mustard cap*

Without mum day two

I get it that a lot of people ( normally classmates and friends) call me aunty or 'ah sam', okay, who started it?! Got so used to it and eventually approved it hahaha. So today I did what most aunties do, go to the wet market (pasar pagi).

If I have a choice I would have chose Jusco or Cold Storage for grocery shopping, sadly, I HAVE NO IDEA how to choose the perfect vegetable or fruit. So I'll just leave it to my grandma.

Thank goodness no one I knew bumped into me this morning, my attire was a disaster, and I probably looked like a real aunty. Some vendors actually thought that I'm my grandma's daughter. Okay, that's not funny at all, I'm seventeen!  Actually 'aunty' is a part of Manglish, it doesn't exist in dictionaries, just FYI.

Shopping list:
Broccoli (my favorite vegetable and Australian ones taste way better than China ones) Well yes  dream to be some food critic or expert so I'm very particular about these stuff.

Chicken Breast
Mushroom
Lettuce
Strawberries
Jambu(malay)
Golden yellow kind of pair (I hate hate hate green pears)

I was really happy until it came to slicing the chicken breasts. I just can't imagine how the chicken died 'koking'. Manglish sounds so wrong.

This is so sad. Sorry chick, will try to not eat chicken.

I can feel the tendons when slicing the meat. Not a good feeling. Shucks.

So Vivian my neighbour came over and we cooked lunch together. Yay and this was the outcome. Looks simple but the chicken was really risky, I mean hard to perfect it.

The chicken looks so pale so we added tons of flavoring sauces and seasonings.
Cooking level: Beginner class

As for marinating I just tossed whatever I had with the chicken. It's plainly those Chinese sauces, vinegar (overpoured) and garlic. It turned out okay though.

This sexy lady took over my kitchen.

Outcome: Buriotos with Chicken breasts fillings with tons of sauces, cheese, herb lettuce and more seasonings. I relied too much on seasonings though, especially Japanese ones, they are way too awesome.

Before throwing them into the oven. Okay, throw is a bit harsh well just whatever.

Obviously wrongly focused.

Yummy broccoli and mushroom bits. I like my broccoli cut into huge chunks and not too soft. have to admit I wrongly cut the mushrooms. Ugh.

I know my food is getting cold.
But I just can't help snapping them.

By the way if you are interested in cooking or something, I used Mark&Spencer Puttensca pasta sauce which is very rich in tomato and olives. Yes you can find mini olives inside the sauce, and it's way better than Prego's. Food lovers should really try out the Mark&Spencer food products located deep within the clothes section.

Really in love with this cute pasta, and we didn't overcook it, managed to maintain they chewy texture. (Tip: Boil water first then only add pasta into it, not the opposite way which may result it soggy pasta)

The bottle is something like this. Can't wait to try this sauce!
Original price was Rm 17.90 but I got two bottles for a lower price due to weekend sale.

Herbs on my pasta, and also flat- leaf parsley, curly parsley like the ones for decorations on dishes has no strong taste, and that green hollow vegetable, no idea what that is, just happened to found it in the fridge haha.

Oh, and today Vivian gave me a prophecy. It's a secret but it really touched me. Then we brought my neighbor, whom is her cousin who lives next door to me while Vivian lives two streets away, okay complicated explanation hahaha. His name is Joshua and Vivian loves, yes she LOVES calling him shuai ge shuai ge shuai ge and those cute baby languanges which she probably made it up herself hahaha. So we went for a stroll.

lady-killer for sure

The babysitter

His plump cheeks. Irresistable.

Bites finger*

He actually fell asleep with his finger still inside his mouth. So cute!

We just fled from jail.

*Face hidden for viewer's safety purposes*

This is why: killer Blogilates.

And after that, you don't wanna know what happened. We had fun though hahaha.

Toodles.

Without Mum day one

IT'S FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM AND MORE FREEDOM!

So my mum will be away from home, it's like the .... SING WITH ME 'For the first time in forever!'
I woke up at 9 am and oh she's gone. See ya three days later, ciao.

You see, my mum is sorta the controlling and 'gan jiong' mum, it may sound funny but whenever I head to the kitchen she'll ask  'What are you doing?'. COMON' I'm not gonna burn your kitchen.

First thing's first: BREAKFAST

Usually mummy would prepare breakfast for me, which you can't even say prepare cus' she normally buys bread, biscuits or some delicacies for breakfast. The only thing she actually prepares is cook instant oat. Honestly oat is a great choice of breakfast to start your day. It's really really healthy. (I liked my oat cooked fast without being too gooey)

Okay forgive me but I'm really a 'product' person, so here's a quick review on some of the foods in my house.

If you aren't really a foodie person or whatever you call that, you can skip my reviews to the other part and scroll down.

These things never existed in my house before. Seriously, mummy wants to make takoyaki, TAKOYAKI and PANCAKES.  If you aren't really a foodie person or whatever you call that, you can skip my reviews to the other part.

I love love love this instant noodle from Taiwan, Chiji organization (only available in Chiji bookstores or markets). The cooked broth appears to be really thick and the noodles aren't tangy but it's good noodles, healthiest instant noodles I can say. Probably gonna be my breakfast tomorrow.

THIS, another must have korean kimchi spicy instant noodles. I think the price is around RM 13.50, kinda pricey for instant noodles but it's really worth the price. (Tips: Cook for max 3 minutes to ensure it's still tangy or else it will get soggy).

Guys, I see my future breakfasts right here. Oat for 365 days. Nooooooo...

Not my favourite cereal. I like nutty cereals with dry fruit. Plus this one is not low fat.

When you drink this at night, trust me, the next morning you will feel like you are about to give birth or something. It's a good detoxing tea anyway, it's worth some pain to detox your body.

Message from mummy. Sorry if you can't read Chinese, basically it's telling me to not mess up the kitchen and slip out of the house silently.

Anyway if you understand Chinese, I thought it's really funny HAHAHAHA.

So here's part two, I went to Lei Yun's house at 10 am and she was actually... sleeping, you wouldn't want to see a live show of her sleeping, it's hilarious and ... just don't. So watched Doctor Stranger while waiting for her to come to her senses.

Original Tim Tam's from Australia. Dayummm. The best guilty pleasures and after the fourth one,  I felt so guilty.

Apple and mango break, and oh I was wearing my jammies to her house.

         One nice shot.

We ended up doing facial for each other. Should have done that more often. Not to mention it's really ticklish when it comes to the lower chin and neck. Most of the time I was just laughing and laughing HAHAHA.

Sneek peak of my camera. I love it.

Fresh skin after fter facial, or what I call laughing show. Lei's hands really tickle.

It's my turn. Ho ho ho. Don't kill me for uploading this.

Played Breathe during her session. Ultimate luxury.

So with fresh clean and dewy skin we umm
Don't call me aunty.
We went for grocery shopping.
Okay.

Cheese. Btw, I never did that in my whole life.

Trying to find the best soy sauce.

This is so wrong, holding soy sauce bottles and smiling.

Yoghurt ice cream

Random nyonya kuih

Sum of grocery shopping. Had a hard time choosing the eggs because there are like 100000 baby flies all over the egg parlour. Gross gross gross, anyway I did it. Claps.

And she showed me Andrew Garfield. Yes I know he's hot. Calm down.

Honey dew and pear smoothie made by Lei's mum.

So basically this is my day one, tomorrow will be a very early morning because I'm going to pasar pagi for more groceries. Guess that I'm really going to burn the kitchen. Tata.
